Welcome to SeatGeek Front Row, where fans share their firsthand experiences and insider tips for getting the most out of live events. For this edition, Whitney Mihoulides, Director of Product Management & Fan Experience, takes you inside the Joe Gibbs Club Level at Northwest Stadium to see what premium seating at a Washington Commanders game is really like.
There's nothing quite like a Washington Commanders game day. From the tailgates outside the stadium to the energy of the crowd once the game kicks off, there's plenty to experience before you even settle into your seat.
As the Official Primary Ticketing Partner of the Washington Commanders, SeatGeek makes it easy for fans to find their way to game day. For those looking to elevate their experience, the Joe Gibbs Club Level offers a little something extra.
I recently experienced the Joe Gibbs Club Level firsthand at Northwest Stadium in Landover, Maryland. Sitting in Section 327, Row 8, Seats 23–24 gave me a new perspective on what club-level tickets have to offer.
Here's what to know before buying Commanders club-level tickets, including the seating, views, and what to expect on game day.
The Joe Gibbs Club Level is a premium seating area at Northwest Stadium, home of the Washington Commanders. It offers wider stadium seats, elevated views of the football field and access to a spacious indoor concourse with lounges, bars, food concessions, TVs and other amenities.
Unlike standard stadium seating, where you might spend most of your time at your seat or in a busy concourse, the club level gives you additional places to relax, grab food and enjoy the game-day atmosphere.
One of the first things I noticed was how convenient it was to get there. We entered through the main stadium entrance, where plenty of entry lanes made getting inside seamless with no delays. From there, it was just a short walk to the escalators near Sections 101 and 122, which took us directly up to the club-level concourse.
Even an hour before kickoff, the area was already buzzing. Fans were grabbing drinks, shopping for Commanders gear, watching TVs and enjoying the pregame entertainment. There were plenty of places to stop and hang out, so it felt like more than just a hallway connecting different seating sections.
The indoor concourse was easily one of my favorite perks. Having somewhere indoors to escape the heat or cold, meet up with friends or grab something to eat made a big difference. The restrooms were another noticeable perk. We found the club-level bathrooms easy to access, with no long lines during our visit.
While all eligible Joe Gibbs Club Level ticket holders can enjoy the shared club concourse and amenities, additional benefits may depend on the ticket package or membership. The Commanders offer Gold Club season-ticket members complimentary food and nonalcoholic beverages at designated locations, along with other membership perks. However, fans purchasing individual game tickets shouldn't assume those benefits are included.
This is an important distinction between having a club-level ticket and having a Gold Club membership.
Here's a breakdown of what fans can generally expect:
Amenity | Standard Club Level | Gold Club Membership |
Wider premium stadium seats | Yes | Yes |
Climate-controlled club concourse | Yes | Yes |
Shared club lounges and seating areas | Yes | Yes |
Branson Lounge access | Yes | Yes |
Bars and food concessions | Available for purchase | Available, with additional member benefits |
Complimentary food and nonalcoholic drinks | Not included with the tickets used during this visit; verify individual listings | Included at designated Gold Member locations |
Gold Member lounges and grab-and-go areas | Restricted | Included for eligible members |
Additional membership benefits and discounts | Not generally included | Available based on membership terms |
During my visit, certain lounges and Grab & Go locations required a Gold Member wristband, which our tickets didn't include.
That's an important distinction to keep in mind when purchasing premium tickets, especially if you're expecting complimentary food and drinks.
My advice: Don't assume every club-level ticket includes the same perks. Review the amenities associated with your specific seats or ticket package before purchasing.
Even without the additional Gold Member benefits, I thought the standard Joe Gibbs Club Level offered plenty of value, particularly if you enjoy having more space and places to explore before and during the game.
For this game, I sat in Section 327, Row 8, Seats 23–24, and the actual seating experience didn't disappoint.
The seats were comfortable, and the elevated view gave us a clear perspective of the entire field. Section 327 sits closest to the opposing team's sideline, with a clear view of the Commanders' sideline across the field. We could also see both end zones, making it easy to follow the action from one end of the field to the other.
One thing I particularly appreciated about Section 327 was how close we were to everything. We had quick access to the club concourse, and there was a grab-and-go concession area right near our section.
That convenience is easy to overlook when you're comparing tickets, but it really does make a difference. Whether you need a drink, want something to eat or just feel like stepping inside for a few minutes, you can do so without spending much time away from the action.
The elevated perspective also made it easier to follow plays as they developed across the field, offering a different experience from sitting closer to field level.
If you're considering seats in this area, I'd recommend checking the Northwest Stadium seating chart on SeatGeek to compare sections and get a better sense of the field views before purchasing.
For fans who value comfortable seating, an elevated view of the entire field and convenient access to the club concourse, Section 327 and the surrounding club-level seats are definitely worth exploring.
One of the things that stood out to me about the Joe Gibbs Club Level was the variety of food options.
Beyond traditional stadium concessions, Northwest Stadium features several recognizable food vendors, giving fans plenty of choices beyond the usual hot dogs, nachos and popcorn.
Another perk was how easy it was to grab food and drinks. While the main concourse was much more crowded, we didn't encounter any lines at the club-level concessions, making it easy to grab something to eat or drink without missing much of the game-day experience.
Two spots that caught my attention were Capo Deli and The Peach Cobbler Factory.
At Capo Deli, options included a classic Italian sub and a Caprese sandwich for anyone looking for a vegetarian option. During my visit, both were listed at $17.99, with a discounted price of $12.49 displayed for eligible Gold Members.
If you're in the mood for dessert, The Peach Cobbler Factory offered cobbler for $13.99, with a discounted price of $9.79 displayed for eligible Gold Members.
I loved seeing food options with a little more personality instead of only the typical stadium staples. It was another detail that made exploring the club concourse part of the experience.
Food and drinks aren't automatically included with every Joe Gibbs Club Level ticket. Standard club-level ticket holders can purchase food and beverages from available concessions, while eligible Gold Club Members receive complimentary food and nonalcoholic beverages at designated Gold Member locations.
With our standard club-level tickets, food and drinks weren't complimentary.
If complimentary concessions are a priority, confirm whether your tickets include access to the Gold Member lounges or designated grab-and-go areas before buying.
Note: Menu items, prices, discounts and availability reflect observations from this visit and may change between games.
If there's one place I'd recommend checking out on the Joe Gibbs Club Level, it's the Branson Lounge & Gallery.

Located between Sections 306–308, the Branson Lounge is one of Northwest Stadium's premium social spaces, featuring a large bar, lounge seating and a lively atmosphere.
It was easily one of my favorite parts of the entire experience.
During our visit, a DJ was playing music before the game, and the whole space felt more like a pregame party than a traditional stadium lounge.
At the same time, there were comfortable places to sit and hang out, so you could enjoy the energy without feeling like you had to be on your feet the entire time.
The lounge features a 130-foot bar with specialty cocktails, including offerings from Branson Cognac and Le Chemin du Roi Champagne. Eligible premium ticket holders can enjoy bar and table service, with specialty cocktails and other beverages available for purchase unless otherwise included in their ticket package.
Yes. The Branson Lounge is available to eligible Joe Gibbs Club Level ticket holders, as well as fans with certain other premium ticket types, including Dream Seats and suites.
According to the Commanders' stadium guide, the lounge opens two hours before kickoff and remains open for up to two hours after the game.
If you're purchasing premium seating, arriving early gives you more time to enjoy the lounge and other pregame amenities.
Just keep in mind that access to other restricted club-level spaces, including Gold Member lounges, may depend on your ticket or membership.
Beyond the premium seats and amenities, there are a few things I'd recommend knowing before attending a Washington Commanders game at Northwest Stadium, especially if it's your first visit.
I live in the city and don't have a car, so I decided to take a Lyft to and from the game rather than deal with parking.
Our ride share dropped us off about an 8–10 minute walk from the stadium, and the walk ended up being part of the fun.
We passed through a parking lot where fans were already tailgating, with music playing and plenty of Commanders gear everywhere. I even spotted a van with an awesome custom Commanders paint job.
Even though we weren't tailgating ourselves, walking through the parking lot gave us a chance to experience that classic NFL game-day atmosphere before heading inside.
If you're planning to use rideshare, I'd recommend allowing additional time to walk to the stadium rather than assuming you'll be dropped off directly at the entrance. Pickup and drop-off locations can also vary depending on traffic and game-day operations.
For fans who prefer public transportation, the Morgan Boulevard Metro station on the Blue and Silver Lines is another option. The station is within approximately one mile of Northwest Stadium, so plan for a walk.
If you're driving, you can also explore available Northwest Stadium parking options ahead of game day.
My biggest piece of advice? Don't underestimate how much there is to do before kickoff.
Before attending, I already knew tailgating was a big part of the Commanders fan experience. What I didn't realize was how much was happening inside the club level, too.
Between the Branson Lounge, pregame entertainment, food options, merchandise shops and other places to relax, there's plenty to keep you busy.
We were exploring the club concourse about an hour before kickoff, and the atmosphere was already lively.
If you're purchasing premium seats, I'd recommend arriving at least an hour before the game, if not earlier, so you have time to explore.
Otherwise, you could miss out on some of the experiences that make club-level seating different from a standard ticket.
Not all premium tickets at Northwest Stadium come with the same amenities, even when they're located on the club level.
If you're looking forward to a specific lounge, complimentary concessions or another VIP benefit, confirm those details before purchasing.
That way, you'll know exactly what to expect when you arrive and can spend more time enjoying the game instead of figuring out which spaces you can access.
