About Phish Tickets

Phish is an American rock band known for their improvisational live performances, eclectic musical style, and devoted fanbase. The band was formed in 1983 at the University of Vermont in Burlington by guitarist and vocalist Trey Anastasio, keyboardist Page McConnell, bassist Mike Gordon, and drummer Jon Fishman. Early in their career, Phish built a grassroots following through energetic shows at small clubs and college venues, developing a reputation for musical spontaneity and extended jams. Their unique blend of rock, jazz, funk, bluegrass, and avant-garde influences quickly set them apart from other bands in the burgeoning jam-band scene.

Phish’s first major studio albums, such as Junta (1989) and Lawn Boy (1990), helped solidify their reputation as both skilled musicians and innovators. However, it was their live performances that truly defined the band’s identity. Known for multi-hour shows that incorporate intricate compositions, improvisation, and a sense of humor, Phish has become a cultural phenomenon in the jam-band world. The band’s fan culture is notable for its dedication, with fans often following tours extensively, trading live recordings, and celebrating Phish’s annual festivals, such as The Great Went, Big Cypress, and Magnaball.

Throughout their career, Phish has achieved both commercial and critical success while maintaining artistic independence. They have released more than a dozen studio albums and countless live recordings, including official archival series and live concert albums. Highlights include headlining major venues such as Madison Square Garden, performing marathon New Year’s Eve shows, and selling out multi-day festivals with tens of thousands of attendees. Their influence extends beyond music into a broader countercultural movement, emphasizing community, improvisation, and musical exploration, making Phish one of the most enduring and beloved acts in modern American rock.

Phish will be at the Las Vegas Sphere in 2026. The residency runs from April 16, 2026 through May 2, 2026, broken into three “weekend blocks”: April 16-18, April 23-25, and April 30–May 2. The nine-show run marks a return after their initial 2024 Sphere stint, and aims to bring the band’s improvisational live energy paired with the venue’s immersive audio-visual capabilities.

Phish’s 2026 run is promoted simply as their Summer Tour 2026, continuing the band’s long-standing tradition of seasonal touring rather than branding each year with a unique tour title.

Phish's 2026 summer tour will run from July 7, 2026 through September 6, 2026.

On their 2026 summer tour, Phish will visit major cities including:

  • Noblesville, IN

  • Savannah, GA

  • Columbia, MD

  • New York, NY

  • Boston, MA

  • Commerce City, CO

Phish is a rock band formed in 1983 at the University of Vermont by guitarist/vocalist Trey Anastasio, bassist Mike Gordon, keyboardist Page McConnell, and drummer Jon Fishman. Known for their eclectic musical style, blending elements of rock, jazz, funk, bluegrass, and more, Phish has cultivated a devoted following through their dynamic live shows and unique setlists. The band is celebrated for never playing the same show twice, creating a fresh experience for fans at each performance.

Phish released their 16th studio album, Evolve, on July 12, 2024, through JEMP Records. Produced by Bryce Goggin and Vance Powell, the album features 12 tracks, including the title track “Evolve,” “Hey Stranger,” and “Lonely Trip.” The album showcases the band's evolution in sound, blending their signature improvisational style with more structured compositions.

Here’s a list of Phish’s top and most iconic songs, highlighting their improvisational jam style and enduring popularity among fans:

  • “Chalk Dust Torture” – High-energy rock song with intricate guitar work and a regular feature in live performances.

  • “Run Like an Antelope” – A jam-heavy track celebrated for its fast tempo and improvisational potential.

Popular Tracks From Studio Albums

  • “Sample in a Jar” – From Billy Breathes (1996), a melodic rock song frequently played live.

  • “Stash” – Known for its funk-infused jam sections and unpredictable live arrangements.

  • “Divided Sky” – An instrumental showcase highlighting the band’s musical complexity and dynamics.

  • “Fluffhead” – Epic, multi-part composition that has become a beloved live centerpiece.

  • “Farmhouse” – Title track from the 2000 album, blending folk-rock with accessible melodies.

Festival and Jam Highlights

  • “Possum” – A quirky and energetic crowd-pleaser with extended jams.
